New Sailing Courses Start October 26th 2019 (TBC) – book now to secure a place.
At the Urunga Sail Training Club you can discover sailing no matter what your ability. We are the only not for profit Australian Sailing (AS) certified Small Boat Sailing
School on the NSW North Coast teaching AS Start Sailing 1 & 2 in small boats on the Kalang and Bellinger Rivers at URUNGA (20kms south of Coffs Harbour).
The USTC is a family orientated Club catering for all ages and abilities. Our Australian Sailing qualified instructors can teach you skills in how rig and control a sailing vessel, read the wind and tides and learn sailing techniques on the safe waters of the Kalang and Bellinger Rivers.
Want to become a member:
You don’t even have to own a boat. The Urunga Sail Training Club has its own training boats and one of the benefits of membership to the Club is that you get to use them when they are not being used for teaching.
Our fully accessible facilities include: Off street parking, toilets and change facilities for persons with disabilities.

The Urunga Sail Training Club AGM is to be held on the
22 September 2019 at 10am.
All members (and friends) are requested to attend.
The meeting will be preceded by a Morning Tea commencing at 0930am.
We always need more volunteers to assist with things behind the scenes like clerical, writing grants, helping on sailing days and fundraising, assisting in boat repairs, working bees and social Sailing days. It is not a pre-requisite that you need to be a sailor as any assistance is gratefully appreciated. The current committee welcome any new skills set that you can offer.
If you would like to nominate anyone for any positions the forms are attached. The club cannot survive without you, so get involved.
Nominations forms are to be emailed to:
The Secretary.
or can be tabled on the day.
Membership fees are now due.
Australian Sailing membership expires on the 30th September and to fall due on the 1st July (to cover everyone for insurance purposes.)
Attached are the new Membership forms for 2019-2020.
Course Fees and Membership fees do not cover the cost of keeping the doors open for this Club. The USTC does not charge exorbitant course or membership fees because we know you can’t afford it.
We would like sailing to be accessible to everyone.
Our membership fees entitle you to use the club’s facilities and boats when they aren’t being used for sailing lessons.
